ClearOrbit Creates Community Website for Collaboration and Information Sharing by Customers and Partners

October 29, 2008

ClearOrbit, the vendor of software for supply-chain execution and reverse logistics, has launched a Community Site to link its 300-plus customers and business partners. The Web resource allows participants to share industry knowledge and exchange ideas about solving supply-chain challenges, ClearOrbit said. It consists of four sections: Idea Exchange, Forum, Support Center and Resource Center. Idea Exchange allows customers to post requests for new products or services from ClearOrbit. Forum facilitates discussion on a wide range of topics between customers, partners and ClearOrbit staff. Resource Center provides updated links to articles about best practices, tips and other resources for supply-chain execution professionals. Support Center enables customers with specific technical issues to log on to a help-request site, and track the progress of the query. Creation of the Community Site follows last July's launch of the ClearOrbit Web Store, which offers a one-stop shop for hardware, software and services from the vendor.

"Since implementing ClearOrbit's solution, our inventory is visible throughout the enterprise, and we can more easily identify products and prioritize them for shipping. This enables us to track the flow of products in and out of our warehouse and reduces the time our warehouse employees spend searching for inventory."
