Take Supply Chain Upgrades Online Supplier-Management Platform

August 11, 2010

Take Supply Chain has upgraded OneSCM, the vendor’s online supplier-management platform. The application features a multi-tier, multi-tenant, software-as-a-service (SaaS) architecture designed for mid-sized to large manufacturers and distributors. Features of the upgraded platform include enhancements for ease of use and navigation, buyer-supplier synchronization and user on-boarding. OneSCM offers a single “ecosystem” connecting buyers, suppliers, contract manufacturers, carriers and logistics providers, aggregating data from all systems into a consolidated view. Take has upgraded its graphical user interface to simplify user adoption. The buyer-supplier synchronization feature eliminates errors and over- or under-shipments by providing both parties with visibility to the same information at the same time. A step-by-step process simplifies the addition of new suppliers. Advanced search features improve usability and make it easier to users to obtain desired information, the vendor said. Additional capabilities of OneSCM aid in the management of procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes.

"Since implementing [TAKE Supply Chain]'s solution, our inventory is visible throughout the enterprise, and we can more easily identify products and prioritize them for shipping. This enables us to track the flow of products in and out of our warehouse and reduces the time our warehouse employees spend searching for inventory."
