The company was founded as BPA systems in 1994, and later changed its name to ClearOrbit. In 2007, ClearOrbit was acquired and became a separate operating division of TAKE Solutions, Ltd., a business software and services company that delivers world-class life sciences and supply chain management solutions throughout global markets (read the press release). In May 2009, the ClearOrbit name changed to TAKE Supply Chain, to reflect the company's continued expansion and transition into a single, global division under parent company, TAKE Solutions, Ltd. The new name represents a unified identity for the supply chain resources, products and services offered by TAKE Solutions' worldwide divisions. TAKE Solutions, Ltd. is listed on the Indian Stock Exchange.
